Mariam AlAzzeh- Founder & General Manager
Mariam AlAzzeh is a structural engineer with over 15 years of experience in structural design, specializing in sustainable construction and earth architecture techniques. She is the founder of Erth (previously operating under AK Habitat Engineers and Designers) , where she applies her expertise to critically assess raw materials for adobe blocks, rammed earth, compressed earth blocks, and earth plaster, ensuring optimal material quality and performance.
Mariam has also completed extensive training at the Auroville Earth Institute in India. Her academic background includes a BSc in Civil Engineering from the University of Jordan and an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Tokushima, Japan. Currently, she is pursuing PhD studies at the CRAterre - AE&CC Lab & 3SR Lab at the University of Grenoble Alpes, France, where her research focus is on the structural performance of adobe structures in vernacular architecture in Jordan.

Mohammad Al Hnaity - Principal Architect
Mohammad Al Hnaity is the Principal Architect at ERTH, bringing over ten years of experience delivering projects across Jordan, the United States, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. A graduate of the German Jordanian University, his work operates at the intersection of design, fabrication, and construction.
As the founder of raw design + build, Mohammad has led the realization of a diverse portfolio of commercial, residential, institutional, and public projects. His work is guided by a sustainability-driven approach, emphasizing environmental responsibility, material efficiency, and sensitivity to context and climate. Maintaining a hands-on, process-oriented practice, he translates design ideas into built form through a deep understanding of materials, detailing, and construction systems. Mohammad actively explores alternative construction and fabrication techniques and materials, seeking practical innovations that expand architectural possibilities while remaining grounded in craft and buildability.

Ayya Al-Shanawani- Archeologist
Ayya Al-Shanawani is a Jordanian archaeologist specializing in field archaeology, heritage documentation, and traditional building techniques. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology from the University of Jordan and has developed solid experience working on archaeological sites across Jordan, including Jerash, Aqaba, Azraq, and Al-Shobak.
Ayya has collaborated with several international institutions, including the Institut français du Proche-Orient (Ifpo), the Deutsches Archäologisches Institut, and research teams affiliated with University College London and the University of Copenhagen. Her work spans excavation, documentation, and conservation support, with particular involvement in projects integrating archaeological research with restoration practices. At Erth, she contributes to the documentation of earthen heritage buildings in Jordan, supporting the preservation of vernacular architecture and traditional knowledge. She also brings experience in digital documentation, including the production and processing of architectural drawings and archaeological records.

Dania Aburouss is an architect with a comprehensive educational background and diverse international experience. Her international training includes extensive practical construction experience with natural materials, particularly earthen building and cross-laminated timber, in India, Spain, the UAE, and Oman.
Dania holds a Master in Advanced Ecological Buildings and Bio-Cities from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) in Barcelona, Spain, where she specialized in the design of advanced, self sufficient, and ecological buildings and cities that address emerging climatic and social challenges. She has earned her Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the German Jordanian University in Amman, Jordan, supplemented by a range of interior architecture courses -

Collaboration X Roy Aghnatios
Roy Aghnatios is a conservation architect and earthen material specialist based between Grenoble and Beirut. He holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the Lebanese University and a Post-Master in Earthen Architecture from the CRAterre at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Grenoble and Université Grenoble Alpes.
Roy has contributed to several international projects focused on the conservation of earthen and archaeological heritage. His work includes participation in the rehabilitation of the Aqaba Byzantine Church, in collaboration with the Institut français du Proche-Orient and ERTH, as well as involvement in conservation initiatives led by institutions such as CRAterre and the French-Kuwaiti Archaeological Mission in Failaka (MAFKF)
